datacenters.builtfor.ai is a source-aware intelligence platform tracking the buildout of AI data-center infrastructure across the United States.
What we do
We aggregate public, primary-source data on the AI data-center buildout — facility locations, electricity demand and generation, legislation, capital flows, and the companies driving it — and present it as clear, current, source-attributed intelligence. Our goal is to be the most trustworthy single view of where and how AI infrastructure is being built.
How we work — and why you can trust it
- Primary sources. Data comes from OpenStreetMap, the U.S. EIA, CAISO, LegiScan, SEC EDGAR, and licensed market data — not rumor or unattributed aggregation.
- Transparent method. Our methodology documents every source, its license, refresh cadence, and our High / Medium / Developing confidence model.
- Labeled, not inflated. Figures reflect what we actually track. Where data isn’t yet available, we say so rather than invent it.
- Refreshed on a schedule. Grid, energy, policy, and market data refresh hourly via an automated pipeline.
